Dear Wen: Dorcas…

Dear Wen,

silent-eye-master-n9-soul-devpt-smaller

‘O Great Seer, pray turn a page and read to us from the Dread Book of Assassinations…’

Just a pity we will not be able to quote from it in any of  the books!

The pigeon made you do it… Hmmm… I cannot see that one holding much water in a court of law…

Yes… all that and a complete reinterpretation of the ‘Christian Panels’ to the Saxon High Cross at Bake-Well…

And the Corpse Road… It makes one wonder if there is a link between ley and lych… but whether or not there is, it would seem logical that if a ley passes through a church it also passes through the Lych-Gate…

Not to mention the St. Francis Window and the all the other Saxon Saints at Chesterfield…

And Winnats Pass, of course, which we are not going to start calling Wennats Pass!

This is something of a shame because that would make it the Pass of the White Bear…

Did you ever see a Polar Bear in Derbyshire…? I did not think so, although, it might be possible to work on that one.

I am not particularly convinced by ‘Give help’ either,  especially as they miss it off the Lord’s utterance…

The gazelle may be linked to perception in some way. It is renowned for its ‘beautiful eyes’…

I did not immediately notice the dove at the bottom left of the Trinity Symbol Window…Nice!

And I have also only just twigged the fact that it is shaped like a chalice, or a shield…

Did we know that shields are feminine?

And what does that do for our Coats of Arms?

He He He…

Hi to Waddesdon’s Blackest…

Love
Don x
