Albion, ancient sites, Art, Books, Don and Wen, Sue Vincent

From shadowed hall, to hidden cache, once more into the light,

The face of pure tranquillity presented to our sight.

A Templar treasure painted from a Face by faith revered

A pale expression of its joy, down through the ages peered.

Who is the red-haired stranger? And why is there just a head?

It this the face of living man, or of the sainted dead?

Is this the face of Jesus, drafted from Mandylion?

Or pure imagination showing the beheaded John?

The Templars keep their secrets, leaving clues along the way

That seekers may yet follow to uncover truth one day.
