No, but the Culdees may well have been the heirs of the original priesthood…
I like this idea of a centrifugal priesthood periodically moving centripetally, which incidentally is pretty much the opening gambit to the ‘…Spoil’
Spiritual Ideals is not bad…
I’d only really got as far as the phrase ‘following your lights’… I love these expressions which every one uses thinking they know what they mean, and maybe at some base, instinctual level we do know but we don’t necessarily always use them with full knowledge…
If one were following one’s lights could one ever really get lost? I think not.
This idea though may well be linked with the eyes in the wings of the Four Holy Creatures… brother Lion… sister Scorpion.
Well, the start of ‘Sundae…’ is pretty much your call. Start it wherever and whenever you like…
I wasn’t really aware of what you were seeing at Aysgarth…
I only started to get that at Uffington…
The falls would make a spectacular opening though… In fact I can see it now, we might even be able to work in a little geometry…It’s been awhile.
Looking forward to catching up with progress in ‘The Black Shade’… I’ve got some good ‘prison’ shots and some possible early stone circles…The Tree episode though may need a little tweaking…and an idea or two for the shade in the van although whether they will be do-able is another matter. May have to invest in a lap-top…
Is it possible to herd tennis balls? I mean, they’re not about to run off anywhere are they… Some dogs herd sheep for a living, others, well they harry tennis balls as a pastime…
Have I been understood? Is anybody ever… Just follow your lights.
Love Don x
The only bit I understood was the ball herder!

Are the two of you in process of writing another book? Planning the next event? Or just having so much fun? Or all of the above? This stuff is really fascinating. Seeing the stream or river as it may be made me think of something that may not be related to anything, but these days when I can remember something, it is written down to become memorable . . .
So a river, making its way along in the world, will go around barriers, or it may go over them or under them, but it does not go backwards.
Oh, and I think that the lights are the compass of a soul. But then again . . . Now this stuff must be good for something.

The series of Don and Wen posts were written to accompany the first series of books we wrote and allude to sites and experiences contained in those books… 😉

Ah so. Well, I am putting in a bid for another extra life so I have time to read all the books I want to read, see all the exciting things I want to see, learn all the wondrous things that are waiting for me, and still have time to sleep, etc., so when I get it, I will be reading all that good stuff!!! Looking forward to it, truly.
