A great eye-of-light
opened up above the main site…

If we were not going to get a night-scape,
which we were not,
we could at least get
the stones with a dramatic back-drop.

So we headed over,
quick sharp, in the hope
of utilising a break in the cloud…
Has anyone ever looked into whether any of the stone circles might have formed a pentagon? Certainly they seem to represent more than a place for sacred events and festivals. This is a beautiful photo, and the stones do indeed seem to be alive.

I somehow have always thought that they served as more than just gathering centers, especially since there are things like crop circles that seem to have many different forms too.
