…It wasn’t that we forgot
to bring the road-map on board.
*
We didn’t even think to.
*
Perhaps our heads, or more likely hearts,
were still with the stones…
*
Which left us with the phone-map,
and that, it has to be owned,
was somewhat deficient
where scale was concerned.
*
We needed to be south of Glasgow,
certainly, and the Holiday inn
on the way up had served us well…
*
Ayr it was then,
only when we did look at the road map,
Ayr started to look a long, long way away.
Doh!

Sometimes the grandest things come from accidents in choices or planning.

Accidents or ‘higher design’… 😉

I’m worried how long your phone would hold out – with that map! I need to get you a solar charger (works even when no sun)!

I’ll be packing the USB charger next time, Noelle. We usually travel much…okay, slightly… better prepared, but I had emptied the car for the April workshop and not put everything back in it before setting off.
