Something of the unseen beyond
can be gleaned from consideration
of the human visage.
*
Once encountered in youth,
the human face never really grows old.
*
It ages, certainly, yet always retains
the signature of youth which was
present at first sight.
*
It is possible that this experience
constitutes more than mere sight
and acts like a recognition.
*
Consciousness, sifting time,
quickly settles into
its own familiarity,
which is eternal.

NUANCES OF NICOLL
The Keys to Heaven
Stuart France
Psychologist, Maurice Nicoll studied under Fourth Way exponents G.I Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky, and presented his own philosophy in a series of works published during the Mid Twentieth Century.
In his seminal work, Living Time… he makes no bones about insisting that the psychological states and concepts that he is expounding, and their utilisation, are ancient and stretch back through Christianity, Judaism, the Greek Philosophers and on into the mysterious climes of Pre-Dynastic Egypt…
In re-presenting these ideas as a series of poetic explorations, author and essayist, Stuart France uncovers a series of links with the Mediaeval Traditions of the Northmen, and the Matter of Britain!
What is the original story of our week? How does the moon harrow hell? Prepare to be enthralled, entertained, educated, and enlightened, as new light is shed on the enigmatic figures of Wotan, Merlin, and King Arthur.
They do not write books like this anymore, if indeed they ever did!

It’s an opportune time to announce I had both eyes zapped yesterday. Isn’t medical knowledge and service wonderful!. Here in Spain, I only had to wait a couple of months. Muy bien.

I love this writing, Stuart. I was thinking the other day when I got a post from a lady who is very conscious about her physical appearance and always making sure she dresses to the hilt. Nothing wrong with this at all, but I was thinking about aging, and I thought how I feel honestly ageless. Only my body knows that it has changed through the years, but other than being involved creatively with life, I really feel truly ageless. So it seems that our minds can put us where we want to be, whether it is here on this earth in this time, or someplace else where we want to be. I often wonder what other incredible powers our minds hold that we have not explored. So much to look forward to. Thank you for the writing; it is excellent.

Consciousness is not necessarily a function of mind… 😉

Knowing I am 88, many would consider me old. But cross my heart, I feel as ageless as Anne. Mentally that is. Lack of energy is a totally different matter – I just wish I had more. But it doesn’t stop me writing or thinking…I finished writing my ninth book yesterday – Gulp. They say that writers have the whole world inside of them, which is a big ask. But I get flashes of great joy many times inside of me. Gratefulness, hope and love are a powerful threesome. x
