White-Tiger Mountain…

***

In the front of the book… There is what is described… As a Mythological map… Of the terrain… Traversed by Monkey… And his companions… It has places like… White Tiger Mountain… Marked upon it… And while it is beyond dispute that White Tigers… Do exist… The sentiment… Is well understood… As well as mythological places… The map also depicts… The pilgrims… At roughly… Their point of origin in the tale… So, Monkey is figured… Next to Flower Fruit Mountain… Sandy, next to the River of Flowing Sand… You get the idea… It might be worthwhile… Considering these depictions.

***

Sandy… Has a… Fu-Man-Chu… Beard… And a muzzy… And has taken up… A distinctly… Setian… Magical Gesture… Brandishing… His staff… In the… Overcoming Foes… Pose… Which is interesting… Pigsy carries his rake… Over one shoulder… It is a strange choice of weapon… Which, perhaps was once used for winnowing… Mud… Monkey… Appears to be dancing… His moves could easily be some sort of eastern horn-pike… And he carries his staff… Over both shoulders… In the outcast… Pose… Tripitaka sits astride his… Prancing white horse… Immediately to the left of… Soul Mountain.

Perhaps… Mythology… Is the way to go… What would Spendyke… Look like… Re-interpreted… As such a model?… Water Tower Hill… Would be prominent… Upon the skyline… As would… Red Iron Mast… Unlike its stubby inferior… No one has yet worked out… What it is for… North… Central… And South… Jetty’s of Skating on Sea… Would be perhaps… The only other notable features… Worthy of naming… Although the Sands of Pleasurable Time… Might have something… Less than favourable… To say about that… Suddenly… A rather mundane seaside town… Assumes… Spiritual potential… Ha Ha Ha.
