Auntie….

***

Auntie… Is up to her bloomers… In all this… Many of the high profile… Miscreants… Uncovered by yew tree… Were in her employ… And many of the criminal acts… Were perpetrated… On her premises… After, or in some cases during… Her shows… And her response… To all this?… Is to commission a retrospective drama… Examining Jimmy’s… Rise and fall… Except, he never really fell… Did he?… Rather, he was protected by higher powers… Throughout, and until the end of his life… If such a case were fictionalised… The sleuth put in charge… Of the case… Would have no trouble… Solving it!

But in real life… This never happened… The great and the good… In her employ… Continually mutter about rumours… Not being conclusive… And the like… Which is no more than a convenient buffer… And to this day… Powerful concerns at the top of the corporation… Still seek to victimise… The journalist who first broke the story… Coupled with her recent track record… Recording the track… Things are not looking too rosy for Auntie… Is it too far a stretch… To wonder… If Orwell… A former employee… Did little more than… Whistle-blow… On her brief… In his most famous dystopian novel?

***

On we move… From one crisis… To the next… The aftermath of the last crisis… Being swallowed… By the start of the next… By which we mean… Forgotten… Except we are not going to forget… The death toll inflicted by the policies… Deliberately implemented… To further the agenda… Which like the crises… Rolls on and on… Seemingly unstoppable… At which point… Our train of time… And memory again screeches… To a halt… Just about making the platform of the station… We wipe the windows and peer through the gloom… Nineteen-Eighty… Say the station boards… Was Games really so late?

We'd love to hear from you...
