We knew they were bad… We just hadn’t realised how bad… Was the overriding sentiment… From the hard core crew… The so called health service… Is still insisting on the so called protections… Called for at the height of the lurgy… And the justification for this… Is, well… Not forthcoming… Actually, hmm… The ever hard case… Takes on a new perspective… When analysed objectively… Away from the mass hysteria of the moment… Video footage of the ‘transaction’… Really?… But this case was instrumental in shifting the tide… Away from… The until that point… Unassailable lock-down policy… Hmm again.

There is a scene from the film Apocalypse Now... Which springs to mind… The boys on the ‘front line’ have gathered for a night of entertainment… Put on by… Wait for it… Playboy!… The bunny girls are flown in on a Huey… And their stage is a sort of pontoon… Separated from the baying soldiers… By of all things… Water.!.. A wire fence runs around the auditorium… And without… The Vietnamese watch on… With mild curiosity… As they tuck in to their bowls of rice… And, presumably, rat meat… The show starts well… As the scantily clad bunnies… Are introduced… One by one… And run towards…

The edge of the pontoon… And their raucous acolytes… Where, they begin their show… Dancing and gyrating provocatively… To the latest… Pop hits of the day… Before long though… The emboldened soldiers… Brought to a fever pitch of sexual frenzy… By the bunnies… Attempt to rush the pontoon stage… At which point… The impresario of the show… Hastily scatters flares… Recalls the bunnies… And leaps back into the Huey… Which takes to the air, speedily… The show… As they say… Is now over… Even though… It had lasted less than three minutes… All told… Always have an exit strategy!…
