The Stones of Ballynoe…

County Down, Thursday, 16th June, 2022…

***

***

We came across a number of green

wyrm-holes in Cornwall

and they often spat us out

in wondrous locations…

***

***

The same magic appears

to hold sway here too!

***

***

Loch Lethglas was half-green

from the ground

to the crown of his head.

***

***

Unusually, for a stone circle,

this one contained a cairn inside it.

***

***

At either end of the cairn were cists

containing the cremated bones of seven people.

***

***

The cairn appears to have been constructed

later than the outer circle

which is aligned to two

far distant peaks…
