In the light of our experiences on this trip
it behoves us to consider whether or not
the court-cairns could be regarded as Fomorian?

If the body of the structure be regarded a single leg
and the chamber tomb a single arm,
then the forecourt itself would be a single eye,
especially if a fire were lit in the centre…
*
This though would surely make the Fomorians
under-earth people rather than under-sea people?
*
Clontygora in Irish means ‘meadow of the goats’.
*
There were no goats in the meadow for our visit,
just a couple of worse-for-wear looking donkeys.
*
Perhaps, there really are some things
which we will never know for sure?
