There is a cold place in my heart tonight
Where the beauty of life
Is overlaid with sadness
And the fear of loss.
Where hope has diminished,
A small spark of brightness
In a surly night.
Where the laughter of friends
Is hushed in the silence,
And a cry in the dark
Rends the heart, helpless.
There is hope still
In miracles,
But slender and fading.
The smallest thing.
And the knowledge of challenge,
Another dragon,
Another mountain to climb
And I am weary.
Send me your gift,
The memory of laughter
Shared in joy
And a friend’s embrace,
As I have sent my love
Winging its way
In times of trouble.

Here is a quote that made me think of you, Sue. βAll that we are is story. From the moment we are born to the time we continue on our spirit journey, we are involved in the creation of the story of our time here. It is what we arrive with. It is all we leave behind. We are not the things we accumulate. We are not the things we deem important. We are story. All of us. What comes to matter then is the creation of the best possible story we can while weβre here; you, me, us, together. When we can do that and we take the time to share those stories with each other, we get bigger inside, we see each other, we recognize our kinship β we change the world, one story at a timeβ¦β Richard Wagamese, Canadian Author.

I remember the wonderful time we spent with you at the Rollright Stones in 2013. And the kite feather that was waiting there just for you (I was looking for the photo and I think it was Tracey’s picture so I will have to ask her!) And the other great places you led us to. And giving Ani two human retinue to throw her ball around for a while. Sunny July days. May the light and warmth you shared come back from us threefold. π All our love.

I have that photo… one of my favourites, on a lovely day (apart from the whole coffee pot explosion thing… :D)

Who knew that social distancing from coffee was supposed to be a thing? Yes, that’s the photo. β€

you must be very lucky, I have encountered the wonders of God in ways the prophets of old would have found profound, but we live in days where faith is thin Sue, as we all know, so think about it, you must believe you are made well, before you are made well, and that is the faith of the mustard seed within, God loves triers and your posts have given me the energy I needed at vital times, I am sure that is well known above, amen
