Given the prospect of the isle out at sea,
it requires us to consider the
parallelism of the monument and the rock.

And whether or not the monument could have
been constructed on the isle?

If it could,
then why was it not?
***

When the sun finally tries to emerge again,
the isle all but disappears in the light…

Just like the dead.
