I read this collection of over fifty poems, at random, reading several aloud to Hubby as we’d settle down for the night. He particularly liked Bedwyr’s Song and Odin’s Ravens.
I could share in the dawns and sunsets, feel the love, loss and yearning, smile at the gentle humour of Drink the Dawn, and identify with A Mother’s Hands as my own are so like my mother’s. I felt the sadness of Flowers, dreams of memories, but it was Rombald’s Moor that left the biggest mark, the sense of home and belonging was overwhelming.
Poems from a reflection is a perfect title as although we may see the same things at a precise moment in time, we interpret them differently. Like the dawn and sunset, each is unique, as are we, but Sue’s personal thoughts are…
