Dear Wen: ‘The Dark Virgin’…

Dearhawk hill nick 2441 Wen…

Great to see the Red Kite flying over the tower.

It always was a great location and now with Red Kites to boot…

Good, too, that the tree stump has been disposed of.

It caused us such a lot of trouble didn’t it?

And we never really worked out what it was all about.

And the ‘Gothic’ post-card.  Urrgh! Sometimes, ‘The Piper’, has a lot to answer for… I can’t imagine what they were thinking… the rainbow one sounds much better.

Don’t ever recall seeing the St John Light… walking around with my eyes closed half the time…

Or the wall paintings in the embrasures…

May have to pay another visit when I’m over…

Chapter six is coming along… White Horses and the Sea-God, Mananaun, made an unscheduled appearance. I tried to ignore them of course but couldn’t write any more until I’d put them in…

We may have a new quest… the Derbyshire landscape has already been partitioned into twelve, in 1976 by John Barnett, but he didn’t have the figures for the Zodiac and didn’t know where to look for them.

The figures may be hidden in the stones at Arbor Low…

Those local maps always have their own idiosyncrasies though quite what the Merman with attendant Dragon might be relating too, is something of a puzzle… Could be worth a look, though how you’d go about spotting them in the landscape is another challenge entirely.

We could try to interest Ben in a helicopter…?

Sampled the beer you bought…not bad…tastes a bit like Dandelion and Burdock…

I’ve been thinking, it’s time young Anu grew out of this Ball Thing…
Can’t spend all his days chasing flourescent green things… the sort of endeavour which, in my opionion at least, is best left to tennis players… Perish the thought… So I’ve bought him some books.

A little light reading to start, ‘The World as Will and Representation’ by Arthur Schopenhauer should whet his appetite, and then maybe, ‘Beyond Good and Evil,’  by Friedrich Nietzsche, that will probably keep the ball rolling in the right direction…

Failing that I’ve also bought him… a bridle!

Looking forward to coming over, re-forge the Sword of Destiny, as it were…

Alle oop!
