The Chinese immortals… Seem to be treated like gods… Unlike the Irish gods… Who are subject to… Death and rebirth… When the gods are withdrawn… From a culture… The people… Substitute them with ‘elites’… Be they royalty… Actors… Musical performers… Celebrities generally… Or even politicians… People need to worship… Something… It seems… And anything raised up… Will do… Our musical heroes… Were raised up… On a stage… And the concerts… Or gigs… We attended would have been another way… Of plotting a course through the memories… Had we but kept the ticket stubs…

Like Mog!… Who has promised… To root out… The scrap-book… In which they are kept… There is also… An outside chance… That some of the vinyl… May have been kept… In an attic… And if this proves to be true… There will be some stuff… Worth quite a bit of cash… It is probably… Too much to hope for… But an exciting prospect… Nonetheless… Why should the distant past… Suddenly seem so important… It is possibly a search… For something… But what that might be… Remains… Elusive… Such preoccupations are doubtless… Far from healthy… But they are still… So much fun!

Mog is adamant… That he won’t be parting with any vinyl… Which happens to turn up… Whatever it may be worth… And this being the case… There are some… Other intriguing possibilities… Which need discussing… And potentially pursuing… What could have survived?… And how… The warmer days… Hold a promise… Unlike anything experienced… In the last few years… Were they safer days?… More stable?… And will we be able to get back there… Through faded ticket stubs… And what is now… Doubtlessly… Very scratchy plastic?… We can only wait… And see.
