And… Night Boat… From the first album… And Save a Prayer… And The Chauffeur… From the second… The latter is widely believed to be some sort of reference… To Bee Dee Ess Em… Which it probably isn’t… But it calls to mind the film Nightporter… Which does reference this once… Highly dubious… But these days… Increasingly more acceptable… Pastime.

The film’s makers… And it’s stars vehemently denied this… At the time… And to this day… It’s male lead insisting that the sexual content… Was merely a way to access… The darkness… Of the National Socialist endeavour… Ol’ Dirk… Was in a good position to judge all this… Mind… Having been a liberating troop… At one of the death camps… Pity more of those highly paid celebrities… Calling for the internment of fellow citizens… Merely for exercising their unalienable right… To bodily autonomy… Couldn’t have experienced this first hand… They may have rapidly changed their tune.
