***
What had looked, from a distance, like
some sort of board game in progress…
***
***
Up close just looked confusing.
***
***
Without the advantage of height
the concentric rings were not obvious.
***
***
As the only imaginatively named site
on the moor I would have liked to stay much longer…
***
***
Maybe it was the sun beginning to strengthen…
***
***
Maybe it was the prospect of more monuments
than we had been initially led to believe…
***
***
Maybe it was a combination of both these factors…
***
***
Something was impelling me deeper into the moor…
***
***
Then I saw it!
***
***
The Ghoul Stone…
***
***
Called to me,
clear as the sunlight
illuminating the valley…

That Ghoul Stone is quite amazing!!

That single stone has a lot of impact. The stones in the rings look like they’re having a good gossip.

Yes, weirdly, it translates to the photograph… They quite possibly are… 😉
