Dear Wen,
Physical/Planetary is a rather startling juxtaposition as my old ‘letter-man’ might have put it.
The Cow and Calf incident may have to go down as one of the first recognisable instances of something or someone ‘pulling the plug’.
Am I correct in thinking that we had been wandering the moor earlier that evening?… Yes, that rendition of the Loki Stone is much clearer. It shows his wrists and ankles bound. Or his elbows and knees. The former would, perhaps, make more sense. Bound together… Hmmm.
It is a pity the top of the stone is missing. I would be severely tempted to expect a jester’s cap on his head, otherwise we are talking ‘horns’ which seems odd, to say the least. I particularly like the way in this art the facial features are so blandly defined.
This will no doubt be put down to a lack of ability, but one has to wonder… ‘I didn’t see his face. He was just ordinary. He might have been anybody.’ Did you get to see the film yet? It is even better than I remembered, particularly when viewed from a certain angle… ‘Harry never grew up. The world grew up around him that’s all – and buried him.’ Kirkby Stephen, was at the time something of an anti climax, largely because there were ‘authorities’ flitting about, if memory serves. The column is in there too, is it? Now, that is interesting. It could almost be a columnular version of the Sutton Hoo purse lid… Gosforth, I remembr well, the precise details of the cross, are less clear, but it is necessary to have a context for these things otherwise they inevitably slip by unregistered in the stream of consciousness, ‘fed on the dripping venom of the serpent’ seems to put things in context, and sort of also fits the ‘Biblical Fall’… Loki’s dreams on the tree may be our reality. Yes, a polarity is what I was trying to ‘get at’ although ‘blood brothers’ suffices equally well. Do you still have the ‘Nuances…’ manuscript. The Runic was making itself felt in that too, I recall, which was just prior to the ‘crisis’… The North and its stones are very definitely calling… and the last such trip resulted in ‘But ‘n’ Ben’! Good book, that… Hard work being a Guard Dog. Too much cheese produces Snorey Snouts! About as close as we’ll ever get to a proper holiday…
Love, Don x

Finding Don & Wen
Stuart France & Sue Vincent
Available via Amazon UK, Amazon.com
and worldwide in paperback and for Kindle.
Two friends living hundreds of miles apart inadvertently begin to explore the magical and ancient landscape of Albion, delving into the symbolism hidden within mediaeval churches and piecing together the clues that appear to be left before them like a breadcrumb trail.
The correspondence within this book was written as their adventures began to unfold, recording and highlighting strange concepts and magical ideas.
Finding Don and Wen opens an inner door onto the workings of the journey of The Initiate, the first of nine books that tell the full story of what became a true quest, becoming a practical guide on how to listen to and interpret the voice of the living land and its history from a spiritual perspective.
