Art, Trickster

Ha Ha Ha…

***

The second album… Sounded like it had been recorded… In a garage… Sunk in the ocean… To a depth of a hundred leagues… With one exception… The last track on side two… Which employed… A drum machine… And a saxophone… The last track on side one… Was clearly a hangover from the first album… Did they initially deem it… Not good enough… Or did they simply run out of room?… We’ll never know… The original version of Hiroshima… The scrape your face against cold concrete version… Which would have fitted the album… Far better… Was released… As the bee side to… ‘Fock Fock’.

Which was one of Bill’s fab fave raves of the day… Not difficult to understand why… The whole world… Fits hip to hip… So Andy has to sell one of his houses… Or rather… Mansions… To keep Ginny… Hush hush… This is a disappointment all round… It proves nothing… But keeps all the parties… Especially… Her Madge… Relatively happy… No way back for Andy… One of the endearing things about vinyl… Were the messages inscribed… On the groove less vinyl band… Next to the label… The most common… A porky prime cut… Who was porky… Why was he so called… And will we ever know?

We thank him… Or her… Or them… For their cuttings… Regardless… By the third album of Seventy-Eight… Something else… Had changed… Kraut Rock Konny… Was at the helm… And provided a perfect meld… Of the opposing styles… From albums one and two… When you Walk Through Me… Was probably the highlight… A ghost song… Naturally… With now obligatory… Surrealist lyrics… Which had never before… Made so much sense… And perhaps… Never again would… I take a train… Or shine a shoe… A dark horizon comes to view… I get lost in the crossword clues… Or check the time again.

We'd love to hear from you...
