Gary Faulkner… Died in his thirties… AIDS probably… Motty… Was, by all accounts, spherical… So, not really a surprise… Most tragically… Janet Edmundson… In a plane crash… Possibly, one of the worst ways to go… If you live long enough… Dying must be like… Turning up to a party… Already in full swing… The Glassonbury Chronicles… Give a definitive twelve Knights of the Round Table… And insist… That all twelve are descended from Joseph of Arimathea… This seems unlikely… But it may indicate that Arthur was also so regarded… Why bury a looking glass?

Same reason you’d bury… An evening… Which isn’t very helpful… The names… And genealogies… In many of the early histories… Are laughable… Even more laughable… In most cases… Than those contained in the Bible… The truth is… When the bards were banished… And their spoken… Or sung genealogies… Written down… They became… Corrupted… Politicised… And sanitised… The new religion didn’t believe in reincarnation… Much less… In what might be called… Guided reincarnation… So what were they to do with those personages… Who apparently spanned a number of centuries?

They edited… Like fury… And made up… Lives… And deaths… And even centuries… As well as collapsing time… The clerics… And lay monks… Tasked with producing… A relatable narrative… Expanded time too… Naughty naughty, Mister ‘Eric… All that was needed then… Was to grant more weight to the written word… Than to the spoken word… And voila!… Nobody now knows… Who they are… Or where they are… And who they are descended from… Except the ruling elites… Whose claim that they are descended from the Nagas… The Djinn… And the Fairies… Starts to gain some credence.
