A church is always more than a building… Do you have any idea… What a calming influence… A graveyard can have… On the centre of a town?… The graves were removed… To Clayton Cemetery… Sometime in the late Nineteen-Twenties… The same cemetery… In which… Years later… Jo and Sam Cass… Danced… So beguilingly… In their white sheets… As we know… The wall… And railings… And the grass remained… For some time… Until they too… Eventually gave way… To pedestrianisation… The erratics… Though… Were moved… To a little side garden… And can still be seen to this day.

Why does this matter?… It matters… Because it represents… The preservation of… Old Thought… And it can demonstrably… Be proven… And has been… Time… And time again… That old thoughts… Are better… Than new… In this particular case… Because the stones are ‘sea-born’… And are currently situated… On land… They are akin to… Giants amongst men… Or gods amongst giants… Or the dead amongst the living… Can you begin to appreciate… This patterning?… It is like a dance… Is it not… The whole world… Dances in this way… And when it ceases… To dance like this… It dies.

And we die with it… Don’t let it die!… I hear you cry… But this type of thought… Demands thinking… Yet thinking… Is in such short supply… It isn’t taught… In schools… Or colleges… Or universities… Anymore… It certainly isn’t taught… On Tee Vee… It is though… Taught by the land… In the stories… Of the land… And by walking… The land… And learning… Its ways… Thinking… Can be reclaimed… From the wreckage of our… Substandard education… And then… When we are asked to think… We can… Perhaps… Start to dance… With the world… Instead… Yeh!
