Jacko started it… His vision of fighting female elves… Not mentioned in the books… Didn’t quite make it into the first trilogy… But there are still snippets of Arwen… At the siege of Helms Deep… He did though get his wish… With the second trilogy… In the completely made up character of Tariel… That the conglomerate of corporations funding the venture… Insisted on a love triangle… Could be regarded as karmic comeuppance… For such a transgression… Not one to be out pointed… Jacko retaliated with a pillow of walnuts for Kili during the healing scene… Now, now gentlemen.

Despite this… And other sundry offences… Sebastian the hedgehog… Rustabel rabbits etc…The second trilogy is still… Just about watchable… And even in parts… Enjoyable… But now we have… Swarthy elves… Beardless female dwarves… And Galadriel the warrior woman… Nuff said… Weirdly, the one ring… Presented itself… Around the same time as the third album… And at that time… With the boys… Dropped from their record label… But self funding an American tour… There was still every chance we’d get to see them… On their return to Blighty… But sadly, they split before making it back…

At the time… This didn’t seem fair… And disappointment… Turned to chagrin… Having to watch Billy… Play synth for Numan… On Tee-Vee… Also round at Jo Cass’… As it happened… Her idea of musical heaven… Was Madness… Girls and dance, eh?… There was also a radio adaptation… And this… like the first reading of the books… Went unfinished… The initial enthusiasms for the Shire… Being replaced by bemusement… In the face of the Biblical extravagances… Of Minis Tirith… And Mordor… The books though were revisited… And Eventually finished… The radio adaptation… For some reason… Was not.
